WHMIS 2015
Course Overview:
Significant changes are already underway with WHMIS. A move to the international GHS (Globally Harmonized System) is being made over the course of the next 3 years.
For detailed information on the changes and deadlines please see our blog post "WHMIS 2015: What you should know about it and GHS" Similar to the "old" WHMIS (1988), this online WHMIS 2015 course seeks to reduce workplace hazards due to the storage and use of hazardous products. It incorporates the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) standard for hazard classification and communication. With this course, you will have the knowledge regarding which hazardous products you could be exposed to and how to find information about them. You will know how to protect yourself and what to do in the event of an incident. In the overlap phase, where both WHMIS 1988 and 2015 will be in play, workers are expected to be trained in both WHMIS systems. If that's a better fit for you, please see our combined WHMIS + WHMIS 2015 course.... it's the same price! Course Topics
